A brake service you can rely on

Brakes

Brakes are one of the most vital components of your car safety system, and our expert technicians will ensure that they are correctly maintained. We will check and replace your brake fluid, brake pads and brake discs to prevent costly repairs and keep you safe on the road.

Brake tips

Check your brakes: Brake pads and discs can wear out quickly so need to be checked regularly, ideally every six months, and before any long car journeys.

Signs of wear: There are also visual clues, including an increased amount of brake dust on your car wheels, ridging or cracking in the brake pads and discs, or the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) light illuminated on the dashboard.

Listen carefully: You should be able to hear when brake pads or discs need changing. Worn down pads can cause a squeaking noise when you apply the brakes, while a grinding or clicking noise may indicate that a worn pad is making contact with the brake disc.

Gauge the pressure: A lack of pressure or ‘soft’ feeling on the brake pedal is usually caused by old or insufficient brake fluid. Brake fluid should be replaced regularly - check your owner manual to find out which type is suitable for your vehicle.
